FAL Beach. Open Water Dive.

We finished our Open Water Dives last week. For the first time in my life, I dived in Red Sea. I still can't believe how beautiful the under water life forms are.

When I saw the fishes up close for the first time, I was scared. The visibility in Red Sea is about 30 meters, I saw the sea being extended into the abyss of pitch dark blueness. With the weightless and the countless life forms en-circling me, I came to realize that my problems, my worries are nothing but facade. I realized how small I am, in this great world, how vast the creation is and how life actually flourishes.

It's a really great feeling.

Here are some pics taken by my instructor:

Have a nice day.:)

The Knowledge Development

The decision to do scuba diving took us to an instructor name Ashraf. A gentleman with a strong aroma of sea life. He took us to this class and introduced to the world of scuba diving...literally.

The classroom had a projector with 5 desks and some charts. Ashraf plugged his notebook and soon projected images of people inside water. He told this will be your future if you learn properly. To be honest, I was skeptical...I mean this is not rocket science.

He started this knowledge development. As he was presenting these chapters, I slowly realized that - scuba diving is really a taking calculated risk.

It was an activity of respecting natures wonders, to make us realise that how vast and beautiful our world is. It actually made me realize that everything cannot be experienced just through video and audio.

I am at this stunning realization and then Ashraf hands me a questionnaire book with 47 pages.
He smiled and said " you better pass this test".

Getting Started

Scuba Driving?

No. Diving.

OK. Diving. What should I do with it?

Well are you interested ?

Dude, where are you going with this? We are not the freaking National Geography Channel !

It's a recreational sport you dumb-ass!

That's how it started. My buddy Ben sold Scuba Diving.
Scuba Diving was not my thing, It was an alien activity. I was even skeptical.

But after the first swimming pool session, I realized:

1. THIS IS AMAZING!
2. I'm Gonna Blog about this.

And here we are.

Stay tuned for more posts.
